The whole thing was a bit tricky, and Skype's support was nearly nonexistent, but YAY stuck with it and got my number transferred without a hitch. "Our Experience as Resellers with Yay.com"
Since we started working with Yay.com back in early 2019, our experience has been nothing short of fantastic. The whole onboarding process and setting up our store was smooth sailing, and their ongoing support has been top-notch.
Every team member we've interacted with has shown impressive knowledge of the platform, solid technical skills, and a friendly, positive attitude. They've really gone the extra mile to assist us. Shoutout to Jez, Meg, Raffi, Victoria, Jade, and Marcel—some of whom have moved on, but they were always a joy to work with.
When you reach out to Yay, you connect with a real person right away—no annoying IVR menus or scripted responses. You get a personal touch from the start, and it’s clear they hire and train the best folks because whoever picks up the phone knows their stuff.
Regarding the platform's reliability, in nearly four years, I can only think of one outage, which was sorted out in about an hour—pretty impressive, if you ask me. We’ve encountered a few minor hiccups on the website, but a quick call to their team usually sorts it out on the spot, so we’re never left hanging.
One area that could use some work—based on just a couple of instances—is handling number porting issues when the previous provider hasn’t processed the port correctly. Yay seems to have limited ways to reach out to the losing provider in these situations. Luckily, we’ve been able to use our industry contacts to get things sorted, but it would be awesome if Yay could handle that directly.
